I can’t believe Abigail is almost a month old!  The time has gone so fast.  She seems to change a little every day!  She’s eating like a horse these days.  We had a doctor’s appointment this week and she was 9 lbs 6 oz (now that was fully dressed so a few of those ounces are from clothes and diaper, but she’s still over 9 lbs).  She’s about 21 1/2 inches long.  I keep joking that she’s going to soon pass Aaron and myself up soon if she doesn’t slow down!  She’s already holding her head up very well.  She’s focusing on faces now and able to track slow moving objects.

It’s so true…no books or magazine can prepare you for raising a  child.  I’m learning new things every day.  We get very little sleep, we very rarely get to sit down and have dinner together and talk without having to get up and soothe the baby for feed her.  Yet, dispite all of the change and chaos I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  I didn’t know I had this much love to give.  There’s a cute saying that says “my baby fills the part of my heart that I didn’t know was missing”…how true that is.

Since our last blog we have had lots of firsts for Abigail.  We travelled to Pennsylvania last weekend to visit with family while Aaron went to National Guard drill.  We spent a few nights at Aaron’s parents’ house and Abigail and I spent a night at my parents’ house.  She got to meet her Aunt Nicole and Uncle Jason as well as Aunt Amy, Uncle Robert, Emma, Matthew and Zack and Aunt Lisa.  She also got to meet her Great Grandma (or GG as she wants to be called) Fox as well as several neighbors and family friends.  It was a nice trip and a little break for Aaron and myself.

Well I am trying to get some lunch together while Abigail naps and bit and she’s beginning to stir a bit, so I better get moving.  I will try to update everyone again soon.  Until next time, take care.
